New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1952
First edition. First printing. In the bright, unclipped dust dust jacket, with $3.00 and the lettering on the flaps in brown. The olive tint variant to Hemingway’s image on the rear panel. A very good copy. Some foxing and wear to the boards, and a couple of nicks at the extremities. Rubbing to the spine, with a bit of damptsain at the foot. Some toning to the pastedowns and endpapers, but the contents otherwise crisp and fine. Slight edge wear to the dust jacket, but a most handsome example still. One of Hemingway’s last major works, an iconic piece of modern literature.
