New York: Covici-Friede, 1937
First edition. First issue. A fine copy, in a near fine dust jacket only with a little bit of tanning to the spine. The very slightest chipping to the spine’s extremities. Unclipped, with the $2.00 on the front flap, and wholly unrestored. A beautiful example. One of the most lasting portraits of the Great Depression - the tragic story of two destitute migrant workers with remote dreams of a better future. One of only 2,500 copies printed, surviving examples are increasingly scarce, particularly in such bright condition.
